Free, candy-free Halloween party for guests of all ages at the Missouri History Museum, with costumes encouraged.
The Missouri History Museum is hosting The History-Lovin' Halloween Party on Thursday, October 29, from 4 PM to 7 PM. It's a family-friendly, candy-free Halloween party for guests of all ages, and costumes are encouraged.
The museum sits in the heart of Forest Park, and its galleries hold several continuing exhibits devoted to the 1904 World's Fair, the past history of St. Louis, and a Charles A. Lindbergh display. Special exhibitions change many times throughout the year, so there's usually something new to see even if you've been in recently. Beyond the galleries, the museum runs a full calendar of special events, including concerts, theatre, and lectures.
Because it's candy-free, it's an easy one to bring the kids to without worrying about the sugar rush. Costumes are encouraged, so it's a good excuse to get the family dressed up and spend a few hours in the park. The party runs from 4 PM to 7 PM, which works well if you want to make an afternoon of it.
