The Nightmare Bar

The Nightmare Bar takes over The Attic Music Bar on Saturday, October 31, from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM. It's a 90-minute Halloween pop-up bar experience that leans on atmosphere rather than scares: spooky décor, atmospheric lighting, horror-inspired touches, interactive games reimagined from classic horror movie moments, and a themed menu of cocktails and seasonal drinks. The organizers make a point that it's a social bar, not a haunted house—built for guests to drink, play, dress up, and photograph the room.

Costumes are strongly encouraged, though realistic weapons and full identity-obscuring masks must be left at home. The experience is for 21+ only, and you'll need a physical photo ID to get in. It takes over The Attic Music Bar, an intimate live music venue and private event space on the second floor of a renovated brick building in South City's Crown District. Downstairs, Who Dat Southern Food Bar & Grill serves authentic New Orleans Cajun and Southern dishes, and there's a multi-level outdoor patio with its own full-service bar if you want to stretch your legs between rounds.

Tickets are $17.50, and the pop-up runs from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM on Halloween night.
