Grand finale of the Cherokee Street Jazz Crawl with an all-styles dance battle headlined by Diamond D and Blvck Spvde, plus a curated lineup of DJs.
Diamond D and Blvck Spvde bring the Cherokee Street Jazz Crawl to its close at The Golden Record on Saturday, November 7. The night is the grand finale of the crawl: the street party winds down and the action moves inside, where an all-styles dance battle takes over the room as a late-night continuation.
Diamond D, the legendary hip-hop producer, headlines the battle. He's backed by a lineup of DJs curated by St. Louis' own Trackstar the DJ, so the music stays running well past the initial start. The dance battle itself is hosted by MC Grand Martell and DJ Nyara, who'll keep the energy moving while the dancers go at it.
The Golden Record is in the heart of the Cherokee Arts District, and it bills itself as the best in live music and comedy for the southern region of the city. This particular night is built around the transition from the street to the stage: the crawl ends, the doors open, and the party carries on inside. The all-styles format means dancers from different backgrounds will be competing in the same room, rather than sticking to one specific style.
