Opening weekend of Garden Glow, a winter walk through the Missouri Botanical Garden with more than two million holiday lights, music and festivities.
Garden Glow opens at the Missouri Botanical Garden on Saturday, November 14, and runs through January 2, 2027. It's a winter walk of more than two million lights that takes over the garden grounds, and it's not just a one-night thing—the full season runs on select nights over the next couple of months. The Holiday Flower and Train Show runs alongside it, so you can see that too while you're there.
The walk itself is about a mile long and takes between 45 and 60 minutes to complete. It's a steady pace, not a sprint, so you've got plenty of time to take in the lights without feeling rushed. Since it's outdoors and in the winter, you'll want to dress for the weather—the kind of night where a heavy coat and a scarf make a real difference.
Getting there is a bit different than a typical garden visit. You'll be dropped off at secured lots on Shaw and Vandeventer, and free shuttles run from there to the garden. It's a good system to know before you head out, so you're not wandering around looking for a spot right at the gate. The garden is at 4344 Shaw Blvd, in the heart of St. Louis.

Tickets are date- and time-specific, so you'll need to pick your slot in advance rather than just showing up. The opening weekend is Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15, from 5 PM to 9:30 PM. After that, the season continues on select nights through January 2, though the garden is closed November 16–19, November 26, and December 24–25. If you're planning a trip around the holidays, keep those dates in mind.
