A major student nightlife party with chart, house, and dance music, featuring free stickers and sweets on entry.
The Traffic Light Party returns to Sobar on Monday 14 September, from 10:00pm to 2:00am. It's now in its 19th year, and the organisers say this one will be bigger and better than ever. The night takes over Sobar, which they describe as the city's best student venue, and the main room music policy runs from chart and commercial to house, dance, hip hop, R&B, afrobeats and dancehall.
The format is the same as always: free stickers and sweets on entry. The stickers are the whole point, and they're what give the night its name. If you've been before, you'll know how it works, and if not, it's a simple way to see who's single, taken or it's complicated without having to ask. It's a student night, but it's not just for students — the door is open to everyone, and the following stretches beyond the university crowd. If you're a student and you don't get into your first-choice uni, tickets are transferable or refundable.
