A new live stage show inspired by the BAFTA-nominated animated series and Axel Scheffler's picture books, featuring puppetry and interactive play.
Pip and Posy Live On Stage comes to Mayflower Studios on Thursday 18 February 2027, with the morning show starting at 10:00am. It's a brand-new theatre show brought to the stage by the producers of The Smartest Giant in Town, and it's based on the BAFTA-nominated animated series from Magic Light Pictures and the picture books by Axel Scheffler, the illustrator behind The Gruffalo.
The story follows best friends Pip and Posy, whose lives revolve around the world of play, along with their friends Mo and Jamila. Together they go on an adventure through tangled jungles, slimy swamps and high above the clouds aboard a big red balloon, while a Troll hunts for the treasure. It's the kind of thing that works well for a young audience: toe-tapping songs, puppetry and interactive play throughout, so the kids can get involved rather than just sitting still.

If you're taking the little ones, there are a couple of practical things to keep in mind. Under-2s are welcome free of charge, but they still need their own ticket. There are also assisted performances available in British Sign Language and Audio Description. The show runs in Studio 1 at Mayflower Studios on Above Bar Street, SO14 7DU, and tickets are £19.50, with discounts available.
