Sound healing session led by Christina with gongs, crystal singing bowls and healing percussion to mark the winter solstice.
Christina is hosting a Winter Solstice Sound Journey at Highfield Trinity Methodist Church on Sunday 20 December, a session built around the shortest day of the year. It runs from 17:00 to 18:30, so you'll be in and out before the evening really sets in.
The session is a sound immersion led by Christina, who works with gongs, crystal singing bowls and healing percussion to guide you inwards. It's not a performance in the usual sense; you lie back and let the sound do the work rather than following a melody or a beat. The gongs provide the deep, vibrating low end, the singing bowls bring the higher, clearer tones, and the percussion fills in the gaps, all layered together to create a sound bath you can just sink into.
Christina frames her workshops around the Wheel of the Year and the sacred thresholds of the seasons — Samhain, the Winter Solstice and Mabon. She describes these as times for reflection, letting go and setting intentions, and this session marks the solstice, the point where the days start to lengthen again. It's that particular winter feeling: the longest night, the coldest part of the year, and the quiet turning point before things start to shift back towards spring.

Tickets are £22.38 and sold through Eventbrite, though the session is currently listed as sold out. If you've missed out, it's worth keeping an eye on her other dates, as she follows the seasonal cycle throughout the year. The church is at 11 Holland Place, Highfield, S2 4US, and the session runs from 17:00 to 18:30.
