Sophie Duker (The Steamworks)

Sophie Duker is playing The Steamworks on Saturday 20 February 2027, as part of her Hot Beef Injection tour. It's a new stand-up show, and this is the Sheffield date on a run that's been touring throughout 2026 and 2027.

If you've come across her name but aren't sure where to place her, she's a Taskmaster champion and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. She describes herself as a retired sugar daughter, and Hot Beef Injection follows that line: she's playing with the idea of being both sexy and political, and she spends a good bit of the show on hypermasculinity, heavy-handed handymen, and the 'Would You Rather: Man or Bear?' question. It's the kind of set that doesn't shy away from the gender stuff it's aiming at.

Beyond the stage, she's worked across a fair few different formats. Her TV credits include Frankie Boyle's New World Order on BBC2, Riot Girls on Channel 4, and 8 Out of 10 Cats on E4. She co-hosts GrownUpLand on BBC Radio 4 and created the comedy night Wacky Racists, which the Evening Standard recommended. The reviews have been consistently strong: Rolling Stone called her 'obscenely good... charisma to burn', The Scotsman called her 'extremely funny', and the Evening Standard noted she's 'clearly going places'.

It's a single-act night, so it's just Duker on stage. The show starts at 7:30pm at The Steamworks, 109-111 Randall Street, Highfield, Sheffield S2 4SJ, and tickets start from £11.20, which includes the booking fee.
