UK and Ireland tour of the West End thriller inspired by the Paranormal Activity film series, directed by Felix Barrett.
Paranormal Activity comes to the Lyceum from 16 to 20 February 2027, as part of its first UK and Ireland tour. It's a West End thriller inspired by the film series, but it's not a stage remake of any particular movie — it's a brand-new story written specifically for the theatre. The plot follows James and Lou, a couple who move from Chicago to London to escape their past, only to find that places aren't haunted — people are.
It's a Blumhouse production, the same outfit behind The Purge, The Invisible Man, Obsession and The Black Phone. The stage version was a sell-out West End and international hit and picked up an Olivier nomination for Best Entertainment in 2026. It's now on its first tour, playing more than 25 venues across the UK and Ireland between September 2026 and June 2027, so the Sheffield run is one of several stops.
On stage, James Bye plays James and Hannah Sinclair Robinson plays Lou, with Jo Castleton as Cotgrave and Caroline Faber as Carolanne. It's written by Levi Holloway and directed by Felix Barrett, who comes from Punchdrunk, the immersive theatre company. That background shows in how the production builds its atmosphere: it leans on clever illusions, disorienting lighting and intense soundscapes rather than just relying on the script. The running time is around 2 hours and 20 minutes, including an interval, and there's an age guidance of 15+.
