Political comedy and satire show with Matt Forde, featuring impressions and political reflections, restricted to over-16s.
Matt Forde brings his political comedy to The Steamworks on Wednesday 19 May 2027, with the show running from 19:00 to 22:00. It's a night of impressions and political reflections, and Forde is the sole name on the bill.
If you've not come across him before, Forde is a political comedian and satirist who's worked across a fair few different formats. His credits include The Royal Variety Performance, Spitting Image, HIGNFY, British Scandal, and The Matt Forde Focus Group. He's also written for 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Stand-Up for the Week, and he's fronted his own late-night phone-in show on talkSPORT. The Daily Telegraph called him 'the most topically incisive impersonator on the block', and The Guardian described him as 'a first class comic', with both praising his knack for ad-libbing laughs out of thin air and the way he weaves the personal and the political together.
