All-day horror film screenings by the member-led Freak Film Club, a monthly LGBTQ+ film club run by Gut Level.
Freak Film Club are taking over Gut Level in the city centre on Monday 26 October for a full day of horror, running from 10:00 in the morning straight through to 23:00. It's an all-day marathon, so you can drop in for one or two films and head off, or settle in for the whole run.
The day opens with Coraline (10:00–11:30), followed by Serpent's skin (12:00–13:20) and Bit (13:40–15:10). The afternoon keeps going with The haunting (1963) (15:30–16:50) and One missed call (17:10–18:40). The evening brings I know who killed me (19:00–20:45) and Milk and serial (21:00–22:00), with a mystery VHS film to close the night. That's seven named titles across thirteen hours, with a few gaps in between to stretch your legs.
Freak Film Club is a member-led, monthly film club run by Gut Level for trans and non-binary people, a space they describe as one to 'fly their freak flag'. Gut Level itself is a Sheffield venue that focuses on giving a platform to people underrepresented in the music industry—queer, LGBTQ+, womxn and non-binary people—and runs workshops, socials and events through groups like Queer Writes, FLAW Collective and Trans Safety Net. Membership is required to attend the club, so if you're not already a member, you'll need to sort that before you come along.
