Members-only night of experimental sounds at Gut Level with three artists exploring creative music making and deep listening.
Pat's Soundhouse, Vera Sacra and Phoebe Niamh play Gut Level on Friday 23 October, part of Elements, a night of experimental sounds at the venue. The three of them share the bill for an evening of creative music making and deep listening, each working with instruments they've pushed well beyond their usual roles.
Phoebe Niamh is a Sheffield-based experimental harpist whose sound draws on the North Wales coastline, fusing harp and kalimba with FX pedals. Her debut EP, Serendipity, was broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and The Lot Radio, and she also plays in the harp/cello duo meraki and the ensemble Emergence Collective.
Vera Sacra is a Sheffield-born, London-based producer whose intimate sets blend cello, improvisation and electronics. Her work takes cues from Kelela, Eartheater, Arca and Kelsey Lu, and she's one of the artists returning to the city for the night.

Pat Fernandez, who records as Pat's Soundhouse, is a Filipino composer and multi-instrumentalist born in 2004. He studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland from 2022 to 2026, where he discovered the khaen, a Lao and Thai mouth organ. He'll be bringing that into the mix alongside the other two.
The night runs from 7:00 PM to 9:45 PM at Gut Level in Sheffield city centre, and access is restricted to Gut Level members.
