Cabaret night fronted by poet John Hegley, with escapologist Gareth Jones, Cheeky Kita, the Boom Boom regulars and DJ Charlie.
Cabaret Boom Boom returns to Ruskin Hall on Saturday 17 October, with poet John Hegley fronting the night. Hegley is an Edinburgh Festival regular whose first public performance money came from busking outside a shoeshop in Hull in the late seventies; he went on to front the Popticians and was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Arts by the University of Bedfordshire.
He shares the bill with escapologist and street performer Gareth Jones, of The Slightly Fat Features, and Cheeky Kita, a Prague Fringe 2014 award winner and NATYS Finalist. The Boom Boom regulars Mr Maynard, Mr Lodge and Mr Bowfin steer the evening with their trademark chaos, and DJ Charlie spins until close.
