Free launch night of the grassroots band competition Battle for the Grand, with bands registering on the night for the Grand Final in July 2027.
Battle for the Grand has a new home at The Church House, and they're opening the doors on Wednesday 28 October. It's a grassroots band competition, and this is the night that kicks off the whole thing. The road it opens leads to the Grand Final, which is set for Sunday 11 July 2027.
If you've got a band, this is where you get in. You can register on the night, either in person or online, so you don't have to have everything sorted before you walk through the door. The winner takes home a £1,000 prize, and the competition is backed by Guinness as an event partner and Heineken as the main prize sponsor.

On the night itself, Kelain James and Jack Dixon are the names on the bill. It's a free entry, so there's no ticket to book in advance—just turn up. Doors open at 8:00pm at The Church House, 4 St James Street, Sheffield S1 2EW.
