Interactive, escape-room-style Christmas adventure where children find hidden ingredients, solve puzzles and brew a colour-changing potion in Tree Spirits' woodland world.
Tree Spirits are bringing Starfall Night to Leah's Yard on Thursday 12 November, with the first session starting at 11:00. It's an interactive winter adventure set in their own story world, which they've built around trees, imagination and everyday magic. The whole thing runs as a family, escape-room-style quest: each child gets their own Tree Spirit name and is sent to find three hidden ingredients, solve puzzles and brew a colour-changing potion before taking their place in the gathering as the lights go out. It mixes escape-room clues, potion making and immersive light and sound, and you take a keepsake home with you. Just a heads-up for the little ones: the room does go dark for a moment near the end.
Tree Spirits started at a family kitchen table, with stories and handmade figures inspired by Sheffield's own trees. Now they've opened a doorway into that world at Leah's Yard, where the shop sells handmade Tree Spirits and books from the same woodland world. The experience has been featured in The Star and The Week Junior, and it's a Children's University Learning Destination, so you can earn credits for taking part.
