Two-hour hands-on class to decorate pre-baked Halloween cookies with royal icing, sprinkles and festive embellishments.
Salt Lake Culinary Education is hosting a Halloween cookie decorating class on Sunday, October 25, from 2 PM to 4 PM. It's a two-hour, hands-on session, so you'll be doing the work yourself rather than just watching a demo. The cookies come pre-baked, which means you can skip the oven and get straight to the decorating part.
You'll be working with royal icing, sprinkles, and festive embellishments to put together your own Halloween-themed set. By the end of the class, you'll walk away with a half-dozen decorated cookies to take home. If you've never worked with royal icing before, this is a good way to get a feel for it without having to buy all the supplies yourself.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind before you sign up. If you're bringing a child under nine, they need prior approval from the staff. The cancellation policy requires 72 hours' notice to reschedule, and there are no refunds, credits, or transfers if you miss the class—though you can send someone else in your place if your plans change.
