The Smashing Pumpkins play the Delta Center on their 'The Rats In The Cage Tour', marking the 30th anniversary of 'Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness'.
The Smashing Pumpkins bring their Rats In The Cage Tour to the Delta Center on Thursday, October 29, starting at 8 PM. The show is built around two distinct sets: one devoted to the album Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness and a second covering nearly four decades of hits and dark treasures.
That first set is the reason for the tour. Mellon Collie came out in 1995 and is now 30 years old. It was one of the most ambitious and commercially successful rock records of the 1990s, selling 10 million copies in the US alone and producing singles like "Bullet With Butterfly Wings," "1979," "Zero," "Tonight, Tonight," and "Thirty-Three." The second set pulls from the rest of their catalog, reaching back across almost forty years of music.
The Salt Lake City date is one stop on a 27-date run that kicks off September 30 in Columbus, Ohio, and wraps up November 12 in Los Angeles. Tickets are available through authorized outlets including DeltaCenter.com, UtahJazz.com, UtahMammoth.com, and SeatGeek.com.

One thing to keep in mind before you head out: bags aren't allowed inside the arena. There are a few exceptions—diaper and medical bags up to 14"x14"x6" and clutches up to 4"x6"x2"—so if you're bringing one of those, make sure it fits those measurements. Otherwise, leave the bag at home. The show starts at 8 PM.
