Hands-on pasta-making class for adults 18 and older to prepare an Italian-inspired dinner menu with colorful striped ravioli.
SLICE is hosting a Halloween pasta making class at Salt Lake Culinary Education on Friday, October 30, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's a hands-on session led by SLICE's chefs, who walk you through an Italian-inspired dinner menu built to impress at a dinner party. The centerpiece is colorful striped ravioli, the kind of dish that looks like it belongs in a professional kitchen but is something you'll actually know how to make by the time the night is over.
Because it's hands-on, you're not just watching a demo from a distance. You'll be working the dough yourself, learning the technique behind the stripes and the assembly of the ravioli. The chefs guide you through the whole process, so if you've never touched a rolling pin, you're in good company. The goal is to walk away with a menu you can recreate at home for your own guests, rather than just a one-off meal you ate in class.

There are a few practical things to keep in mind before you sign up. The class is designed for adults 18 and older; anyone under 18 can only join with SLICE's prior written permission. Space is strictly limited to a dozen covers, so it's a small group rather than a crowded room, which makes it easier to get a handle on the technique. Tickets are $100 per person, and gratuity isn't included in that price. The class runs from 6 PM to 9 PM on October 30 at Salt Lake Culinary Education, 2233 S 300 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84115.
