Free Halloween day of family fun with costumes, face paint, crafts, a pumpkin bounce house, a spooky scavenger hunt and trick-or-treat bags.
Bakery Square is hosting Halloween Hooplah on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 11 AM to 2 PM. It's a family-focused morning in the East End, and the whole point is to show up in costume. If you've got kids, that's the starting line: get them dressed up and head over to 6425 Penn Ave.
Once you're there, the activities are free and spread across the site. There's festive face painting and Halloween crafts for the kids, live printing, and trick-or-treat bags to fill. Out on the lawn, they've set up a pumpkin bounce house, and there's a spooky scavenger hunt to work your way through. Cotton candy is in the mix too, so it's a fair amount to keep a group of children occupied for a few hours.
One part of the day works a little differently: the Urban Pumpkin Patch. That one is donation-based, and the proceeds go to the Larimer Consensus Group, so it's a good spot to pick up a pumpkin and put something toward a local cause while you're at it.

Bakery Square itself is a mix of workplaces, shopping, and dining centered around Sally's Path, and the Hooplah is part of a broader calendar that includes yoga classes, lawn movies, and pop-up markets. The event is free and open to the public, though registration is highly recommended. It runs from 11 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 6425 Penn Ave.
