Mobile basketball trailer with four arcade hoops set up at Bakery Square for anyone to play and chase a high score.
Hoop Pittsburgh is back at Bakery Square on Friday, October 30, from 6 PM to 9 PM. If you haven't come across it yet, it's exactly what the name suggests: a mobile basketball trailer that brings the game right to you. They set up four arcade basketball hoops on the trailer, and you can play for as long as you want, whether you're competing against friends and family or just chasing your own personal high score.
It's a low-stakes way to spend a Friday evening. You don't need to be a basketball player to get into itβthe arcade style keeps it more about the fun than the fundamentals, so it works as well for a group of friends as it does for a family with kids. Since there are four hoops, you can run a little tournament among yourselves or just take turns seeing who can put up the most points in a set amount of time.
This is one of several times the trailer stops by Bakery Square throughout the year. It's been out there on Friday, October 2, and Friday, October 16, as well, and this October 30 date is the third of those Friday evening visits. Earlier in the year, it made two more appearances: Friday, March 19, from 4 PM to 8 PM, and Saturday, March 20, from 12 PM to 4 PM.
