An interactive exhibit where children can play, sing and explore familiar places from the beloved children's TV show Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.
Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood: A Grr-ific Exhibit is open at the Children's Museum of Phoenix through January 10, 2027. It's a hands-on exhibit that lets kids step into Daniel Tiger's world, and it's presented locally by Phoenix Children's.
The whole thing is built around play. Kids can dress up as neighborhood helpers, sort and deliver mail at the Post Office, and explore clocks in the Clock Factory. There's a Thank You Tree where they can add a note, and O the Owl's Reading Nest for curling up with a book. And yes, Trolley is there, too. Along the way, they can sing along with Daniel.
Underneath the play, the exhibit works through themes like kindness, empathy, sharing, emotions, friendship, diversity, and community. The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh created it in partnership with Fred Rogers Productions, and it's meant to bring Fred Rogers' wisdom and life lessons to a new generation. Paul Siefken, president and CEO of Fred Rogers Productions, has noted that Daniel speaks directly to children his own age, so they see him as a friend who faces the same challenges they do—whether that's dealing with mad feelings or learning how to share.
