Screening of the US thriller in which a lone scuba diver ends up inside a live sperm whale and must fight to survive before his oxygen runs out.
Whalefall opens at Curzon Oxford on Saturday 17 October, and it's a proper claustrophobic thriller. The premise is as tight as the title: a lone scuba diver ends up inside a live sperm whale and has to fight to survive before his oxygen runs out. It's a US production rated 15, and it's playing across three Oxford cinemas, so you've got a few different spots to catch it depending on where you are in the city.
At Curzon Oxford in the Westgate, the screenings run from Saturday 17 October at 1.00, 3.40 and 6.20pm, through Sunday 18 October at 12.00, 2.40 and 6.20pm, and Monday 19 October at 11.40am, 2.20 and 6.40pm. Tuesday 20 October follows the same Monday times, and Wednesday 21 October has 2.20 and 6.40pm. Thursday 22 October adds an 11.40am Baby Club screening alongside the 2.20 and 6.40pm slots.
If the Westgate isn't your usual spot, The Oxford Cinema and Cafe has it on Saturday 17 October at 8.00pm, Sunday 18 October at 7.45pm, and then 7.30pm on Tuesday 20, Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 October. Vue Cinema runs the most screenings: Saturday 17 October at 12.10, 5.35, 9.05 and 10.50pm; Sunday 18 October at 2.20, 5.00, 8.10 and 9.30pm; Monday 19 October at 1.35, 6.45, 9.25 and 11.00pm; Tuesday 20 October at 2.35, 5.05, 8.00 and 10.10pm; Wednesday 21 October at 11.55am, 2.35, 4.40, 7.55 and 10.20pm; and Thursday 22 October at 11.35am, 2.00, 4.20, 6.35, 8.05 and 10.55pm.

Between the three, there's a showing almost every hour of the day from Saturday through Thursday, so it's easy to fit in whenever you've got a gap. The Curzon's Baby Club session on Thursday morning is a handy one if you're taking the little ones along.
