Zach Cregger's horror film that reinvents the Resident Evil franchise, with a medical courier fighting for survival, suitable for ages 15 and over.
Resident Evil is showing at Vue Cinema in Oxford, part of a run that started on 18 September and goes until 29 October. It's a fresh start for the franchise, an all-new story from director Zach Cregger, who also made Barbarian. The film runs for 1 hour 34 minutes.
It follows Bryan, a medical courier played by Austin Abrams, who finds himself in a non-stop race for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him. The story is a complete reinvention of the series, so it doesn't rely on the previous films to make sense.
Vue Oxford is inside the Ozone Leisure Park on Grenoble Road, with nine screens and more than 1,380 seats. They show in 2D and 3D with 4K picture quality and Dolby Surround Sound, and they also run big-screen events like concerts, sport, dance, opera and theatre. Parking is free for up to four hours with re-validation. The cinema also programmes Mighty Mornings, Big Shorts and 2-for-1 tickets with Meerkat Movies, alongside autism-friendly and accessible screenings.
