Halloween screening of Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) in the historic Divinity School of the Old Bodleian Library, with headphones and drinks available.
Bram Stoker's Dracula is screening at the Divinity School in the Old Bodleian Library on 30 and 31 October and 1 November, as part of a run of three Halloween nights. The film is the 1992 version, with Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder and Anthony Hopkins in the lead roles. It follows the count as he pines for his lost love, believes she's been reincarnated as his solicitor's fiancée, and travels to London to find her. The whole thing runs two hours and eight minutes.
The venue is the Divinity School, the Old Bodleian Library's gothic hall with a vaulted ceiling dating from the 1400s. You watch through over-ear headphones that the library hands out to ensure the sound quality stays high, and there are drinks and snacks available to buy inside. This is one of three Halloween nights the Bodleian is running, and alcohol is sold during the Bram Stoker's Dracula and Beetlejuice screenings only.
