Author Bryanna Bone reads from and discusses her science fiction novel 'The Dawn of AI', with a Q&A, as part of IF Oxford.
Bryanna Bone is reading from her science fiction novel The Dawn of AI at Oxfordshire County Library on Saturday 17 October, from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. It's part of IF Oxford, the science and ideas festival run by The Oxfordshire Science Festival, which is a registered charity and free at the point of entry.
The novel follows a non-verbal AuDHD teenager in New Oxford whose late mother invented the first AGI and unleashed it upon the city's automated world. Bone reads from the book and then opens the floor to a discussion, so there's a chance to ask her about the story and the ideas behind it. The session is recommended for ages 7-12 and teenagers, with under-16s to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

On the practical side, it's a pay-what-you-decide ticket: a donation of around Β£7.50 per person is suggested, but there's a free ticket option available. The library is on Westgate, Queen Street, Oxford, OX1 1DJ, and the whole thing runs for an hour, 2:30 to 3:30 pm.
