Documentary by Orlando von Einsiedel about a Delhi street artist who cycles 6,000 miles to find the woman he met in India, shown at Vue Cinema Oxford for one day only.
The Cycle of Love is coming to Vue Cinema in Oxford on Sunday 1 November, at 4.00pm. It's a documentary about PK, a 23-year-old street artist from Delhi who sets off on a 6,000-mile journey across Europe and Asia to find Lotta, a woman he met in India. He doesn't go in blind, either — he's guided by an astrologer's prophecy, which is the thing that gets him moving in the first place. It's a true story, and the distance he covers is the real deal.
Behind the camera is Orlando von Einsiedel, an Academy Award winner and the founder of the UK creative house Grain Media. He's worked on The White Helmets, which won the Oscar, and Virunga, so he's used to following stories that take a lot of ground. This one is a bit different from his previous work — less about conflict and more about a young man on a bicycle crossing two continents to find someone. The film is certified 12A, so it's fine for families as long as the kids are over twelve.
