Screening of the Christmas comedy-drama 'Merry Christmas Aubrey Flint' followed by a post-screening Q&A at Picturehouses.
Merry Christmas Aubrey Flint is screening at Picturehouses on Monday 9 November, with a post-screening Q&A to follow. It's a comedy-drama directed by Jack Spring, and the cast is a proper collection of homegrown greats: John Bradley takes the title role of Aubrey Flint, joined by Sophia Di Martino, Celia Imrie, Richard E. Grant, Adjoa Andoh, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Karl Pilkington, with Jim Broadbent providing the voice.
The story starts when Aubrey lands himself in hot water after a snow-globe shopping catastrophe, and ends up doing community service at a struggling retirement home. The home is under threat from an evil property developer, so Ellen rallies the residents and ropes Aubrey into a chaotic production of A Christmas Carol to save the site. It's a heartwarming comedy-drama that puts a big cast of familiar faces together for a bit of festive cheer.
