Screening of the adventure film about two best friends who are sucked through a magical portal and menaced by a dangerous creature.
Forgotten Island is screening at Curzon Oxford starting Saturday 17 October, with runs continuing through the following week. It's rated PG, so it's one you can take the younger ones to if you're planning a family trip into town.
The story follows two best friends who get sucked through a magical portal and find themselves on a strange island, where they're menaced by a dangerous creature. There's a bit more to it than just the monster, though: they're also in danger of losing the memories that bond them together, so the friendship itself is as much at stake as their survival. It's a fantasy adventure with a fair bit of heart behind the peril.
Curzon Oxford is running it across six days, with three screenings most days. On Saturday 17 October, you've got 11.00am, 4.00pm and 5.20pm. Sunday 18 October has 10.20am, 12.20pm and 5.20pm. Monday 19 October runs 1.00pm, 3.40pm and 5.00pm. Tuesday 20 October has 10.45am, 3.40pm and 5.40pm, and Wednesday 21 October is 10.45am, 3.00pm and 5.40pm. Thursday 22 October brings it home with 10.45am, 3.40pm and 5.40pm. If none of those work, Vue Cinema is also showing it with several screenings daily, so you've got plenty of options across the city.
