Screening of the satirical dark comedy 'Digger' at Curzon Oxford.
Digger is playing at Curzon Oxford this week, with screenings on Wednesday 21 October at 12.40 and 6.00pm, and Thursday 22 October at 12.40 and 8.20pm. It's a satirical dark comedy, and the premise is pretty straightforward: the most powerful man in the world spends the film trying to present himself as humanity's saviour, just as the disaster he's unleashed starts to destroy everything around him. It's rated 15, so it's definitely for an older crowd rather than a family outing.
If those dates don't work, it moves over to the Ultimate Picture Palace for a longer run. There are screenings on Friday 23, Saturday 24, Sunday 25, and Monday 26 October, all at 5.45pm and 8.30pm, and then one final showing on Thursday 29 October at 5.30pm. There's also an 11.45am Baby Club screening on the 29th, which is a good shout if you're taking little ones along and need an early start. Between the two cinemas, there are plenty of slots to choose from across the next ten days, so you can pick the time and venue that fits best.

It's a dark comedy, so it'll likely land better if you're in the mood for something a bit biting rather than a lighthearted afternoon at the cinema. The 15 rating is worth keeping in mind too, especially if you're thinking about who to bring along. With screenings running from the Curzon through to the UPP, you've got a good window to catch it whenever suits you best.
