Award-winning puppet theatre piece inspired by The Little Prince, with live folk songs and 90s synth, recommended for ages 5 and over.
Tiny Planet plays at Norwich Theatre, Stage Two on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 February, as part of the Norwich Science Festival. It's a piece of puppet theatre that carries the echoes of The Little Prince, and it's recommended for ages five and over.
The story follows Alma, an intergalactic space baker who crash-lands on a tiny world and discovers that the smallest things can hold the biggest stories. From there, it becomes a puppetry adventure to save a planet. The show pairs breathtaking puppetry with live folk songs merged with big 90s synth, and live cameras bring the world to life on stage. It runs for about an hour.
It's a Fringe Award winner with nine nominations, and the reviews have been kind: Everything Theatre called it "an exquisite, active puppetry adventure to save a planet – and save ourselves", and Pick of the Fringe described it as "exceptional". It's staged in partnership with the Norwich Science Festival, so it sits alongside other science-themed shows during the festival.
