Stand-up show by Seann Walsh, the UK's 'dishevelled king of stand-up', returning after his sell-out 2023 tour with a new hour of comedy.
Seann Walsh is back in Norwich on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 March, playing the Norwich Theatre Playhouse both nights at 7:30pm. It's his first time back in the city since his sell-out 2023 tour, and he's returning with a brand-new hour of comedy called This is Torture — a title he says comes from the phrase he uses most in life.
If you've seen him before, you'll know the territory he works in. The show is built on his trademark high-energy exasperation and razor-sharp observations, that particular way he has of taking a small, everyday annoyance and riding it until it becomes something much larger. It's observational comedy in the classic sense, though delivered with a frantic edge that sets it apart from the more laid-back end of the genre.
He's earned a fair bit of praise along the way. The Guardian called him "unquestionably the best observational comic of his generation," and The Evening Standard described him as "one of comedy's hottest properties," with similar nods from The Telegraph and The Independent. Beyond the stage, he's also one of the UK's most popular comedy podcasters, so there's plenty of his work to catch up on before he arrives.

One thing to keep in mind is the length: the show runs for around two hours with an interval, so it's a full evening rather than a quick set. Tickets start from £20.67, and with two dates to choose from, you can pick the night that suits you best.
