Olaf Falafel's Stupidest Super Stupid Show

Olaf Falafel is back at Norwich Theatre Playhouse on Wednesday 17 February 2027, with a new hour of family comedy he's calling This Time it's Stupider!. It's a mid-morning slot — 11:30 am — and it runs for about an hour with no interval, which makes it a decent one to take the kids to before lunch.

Falafel is an award-winning comedian, a children's author, and a self-described 'professional idiot'. The show is built around the kind of silly, wide-eyed comedy that works for all ages: he draws things live on stage, tells the truth about cheese, and spends a good chunk of the hour trying to operate a time-travelling portal despite having absolutely no qualifications in time travel. It's the sort of thing that doesn't take itself seriously for a second.

The show comes to Norwich after a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe, and the reviews have been pretty warm. One called it a 'sprawling bungalow of blissful belly laughs', another 'disruptive, daft and downright brilliant', and a third said it's 'as enjoyable for the adults as it is for the children'. It's billed as the kind of comedy show that comedians take their own children to, which is usually a good sign for anyone wondering if it'll actually hold a kid's attention.

Tickets start from £16.96, and the 11:30 am start means you're in and out by lunchtime. If you're a member of the theatre, there's a bit of a staggered booking system: Ambassadors, Supporters, Gold Friends and Corporates got first dibs on 21 September, Friends and Best Friends on 23 September, and then it opened to everyone else on 25 September. There are also concessions for members — 5% off for Friends and 10% off for Ambassadors, Supporters, Best Friends and Gold Friends.
