Mary's marvellous music quiz

Mary's marvellous music quiz is at The Brickmakers on Wednesday 27 January, from 7.00pm to 10.00pm. It's a music quiz in the simplest sense: you get together with a few friends, put your heads together, and see how your musical knowledge stacks up against the rest of the room. Entry is £2 per person, and teams can have up to six people, so it's one of those nights that works just as well if you've got a full group as if you're just two or three of you.

If you haven't spent much time there, The Brickmakers is one of Norwich's most iconic venues, and it's got three stages under one roof. The main stage mostly hosts local covers bands and is usually free entry; the B2 venue is a grassroots space for up-and-coming acts from across the country, mostly metal and rock but also pop, punk and folk; and there's an outside stage used during the summer. It's a proper music pub, so a music quiz fits right in.

The quiz runs from 7.00pm to 10.00pm, three hours of rounds that'll take you through the decades and across the genres. It's £2 entry per person, and teams can have up to six people, so you've got plenty of room to bring along the friend who knows the 80s, the one who's into jazz, and whoever can remember the lyrics to the songs everyone forgets.
