Stand-up debut from Lee Peart, co-host of the podcast 'Bottoms Up!', with his tour 'It's Not You, It's Lee'.
Lee Peart brings his debut stand-up tour, It's Not You, It's Lee, to the Norwich Theatre Playhouse on Thursday 29 April. For a good while, Peart has been one of those names you might recognise from the credits rather than the screen; he's spent years working behind the scenes on some of the biggest TV shows around, and this is the first time he's stepped centre stage with his own hour.
If you've come across him through the podcasting side of things, you'll know him as the co-host of Bottoms Up! alongside Alan Carr, which recently picked up a British Podcast Award. He grew up in Grimsby, and that's where the material startsβthe show is a romp through his own chaotic life, told in his own voice rather than from the production office. He describes the move to the stage in his own words: he was sick of being the bridesmaid and wanted to be the bride, and this is the moment he finally takes the lead.

It's a debut in the truest sense, so you're catching him right at the start of his time as a touring comic. The show is part of a wider tour, with the Norwich date falling on a Thursday night at the Playhouse. If you've spent years hearing him from the wings or through a headset, this is the first chance to see him actually standing under the lights.
