Improv comedy show in which David Elms builds a comedy mind palace with his audience, on its second UK tour after a sold-out Edinburgh Fringe run.
David Elms brings Describes a Room to Norwich Theatre on Saturday 17 April, playing in Stage Two. It's an improv comedy show that he builds together with the audience, so what happens on the night depends on who's in the room. Elms is a veteran improviser and the driving force behind the show, and it arrives in Norwich after a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe and a residency at London's Soho Theatre. It's now out on its second UK tour.
Because it's improv, the whole thing is made up as it goes along, and the audience gets to help shape the evening. It's not a scripted play or a stand-up set; the comedy comes from Elms working with the crowd to build the show in front of them. Comedian Phil Wang summed it up by saying Elms "builds a comedy mind palace before your very eyes."
