Free guided evening walk along the River Wensum with bat detectors to hear the city's bats feeding, facilitated by Norfolk Wildlife Trust.
Norfolk Wildlife Trust are leading a bat walk along the River Wensum on Thursday 29 October, starting from The Oasis Community Garden in Norwich. It runs from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, so you'll be out as the light fades and the bats come out to feed.
Norfolk is home to 16 species of bat, and this turns a short city stroll along the river into a chance to hear them. The Trust bring out bat detectors, so you can listen to the night-time residents as they feed above the water. The route covers around a mile and takes about an hour and a half, with the Trust on hand to help you spot and learn about what you're hearing.
