Free guided photo walk along Norwich's rivers, open to all, with the photos featured in an online exhibition.
New Mills Yard is hosting a guided photo walk along Norwich's rivers on Saturday 31 October, from 12.30pm to 2.00pm. It's run in partnership with Shoot Film Norwich and Just Shoot Film Photolab, and the whole thing is free.
The walk is open to everyone, from first-timers and smartphone shooters to film photographers and professionals. You'll be following the city's waterways, with experienced photographers on hand to share tips along the way. The focus is on the stories, people and places that shape Norwich's relationship with its rivers, so it's as much about looking at the city as it is about taking photos. If you've never gone out with a camera before, this is a low-pressure way to start.
There's a bit more to it than just the walk itself. Images taken on the day will feature in an online exhibition celebrating Norwich's rivers, so your shots will end up as part of a wider project. And if you're shooting on film, you'll get a voucher to help digitise your images, which is a nice touch for anyone who prefers an analogue setup. No booking is required, so you can just turn up on the day.
