The musical Dirty Dancing, with its iconic songs and dance numbers, on UK and Irish tour at Norwich Theatre.
Dirty Dancing comes to Norwich Theatre from Tuesday 12 to Saturday 16 January 2027, as part of a UK and Irish tour that's been running since it previewed at Milton Keynes Theatre on 25 August 2026. It's the film brought to the stage, following Baby and Johnny, two fiercely independent young spirits from different worlds, through what becomes the most challenging and triumphant summer of their lives. The whole thing is built around the dancing, and the score leans on the film's biggest hits: 'Hungry Eyes', 'Hey! Baby', 'Do You Love Me?' and '(I've Had) The Time Of My Life', all carried by a full cast of dancers. The Observer called it 'the biggest live theatre sensation of all time', and the Sunday Mirror described it as 'a phenomenon'.
On stage, Joel Benjamin takes on Johnny Castle, with Charlie Varlet as Frances 'Baby' Houseman and Ellie Fergusson as Penny Johnson. Federico Bellone directs and Austin Wilks handles the choreography, so the dancing is the thing that drives it. It's a production that's toured across the UK and Ireland, and it'll keep going until the summer of 2027.
