Stand-up show by Abi Clarke about a bad year that turned into an hour of rapid-fire observational jokes and stories.
Abi Clarke brings her stand-up show Just Tell Me When It's Over to Norwich Theatre on Sunday 31 January 2027. It's one of 22 dates on tour, and the Norwich stop is in Stage Two, the smaller, more intimate room on Theatre Street.
Clarke is best known for her observational comedy, and the North West End summed her up as 'that one chaotic gremlin friend we all have'. The show comes after a rough year in which she lost friends, her home and, for a while, her ability to walk. She turns it into an hour of rapid-fire jokes and stories about wanting everything to go right but being unable to walk away. Among them, she talks about becoming a wrestler, attending a games night at Nicole Scherzinger's house and being broken up with at a National Memorial.
Critics have described it as 'compelling observational humour' (The Scotsman) and 'hilarious and relatable' (The Independent), with The Times adding that she 'has star quality'. It's the kind of set that takes a bad run of luck and finds the punchlines in it, so if you've ever felt like your life was a bit of a mess, you'll probably recognise something of yourself in her stories.
