HAWXX - The World Splits Open Album Tour

HAWXX play Anarchy Brew Co on Sunday 18 October, part of their The World Splits Open tour. It's a London-based hard rock trio: Anna on lead vocals, Hannah on guitar and bass, and Jess on drums and bass. The Newcastle date falls within the tour for their second album, The World Splits Open, which came out in the spring of 2026.

They describe their music as 'rituals of rage and resistance', and the themes they work with are pretty explicit: protest, feminist resistance, grief, ecological catastrophe and queer love. It's not a band that hides what it's about, and that's a good place to start if you're wondering what you're getting into.

Sonically, they pull from a few different directions. Alternative metal and punk form the core, but they weave in the traditional Greek music of Anna's heritage, so there's a bit more to the sound than just the heavy stuff. Between the three of them, they cover the vocals, guitar, bass and drums, with Hannah and Jess both splitting bass duties across the set.

The show starts at 7:00 PM at Anarchy Brew Co, in the Benfield Business Park in Newcastle upon Tyne.
