A one-day youth music festival featuring twelve local Novocastrian youth acts, with giveaway prizes and mini golf running alongside the music.
Sonic Swing Fest lands at Rippit Golf in Broadmeadow on Saturday 26 September, a one-day youth music festival that kicks off the September school holidays. The day is built around twelve local Novocastrian youth acts taking to the stage, so it's a good chance to hear a fair few of the city's younger musicians in one go. Between the sets, there are giveaway prizes and mini golf running alongside the music, so you're not just standing around waiting for the next band to start.
It's an all-ages event, and the mini golf is part of the ticket rather than an extra you have to pay for on the day. Every ticket includes a round, so you can put the putter to work when you're not watching the stage. If you're bringing a group of younger ones, you'll need one adult supervisor, who gets in free. The whole thing runs from 12:00 to 18:00, which means you're in and out well before dinner, with the music and the golf running together throughout the afternoon.

Entry is ticketed, and the early bird price is A$20 per person, which covers your entry and that round of mini golf. With twelve acts on the bill, it's a long stretch of live music to get through in one afternoon, and the mini golf gives you something to do in between. It's at Rippit Golf, 20 Curley Road, Broadmeadow, on Saturday 26 September, from 12:00 to 18:00.
