Family-friendly pumpkin carving session run by the Minnesota Tool Library, with power-tool carving stations and witch's brews at Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative.
Pumpkins & Power Drills is happening at Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative on Saturday, October 24, from 1 PM to 5 PM. It's a pumpkin carving workshop run by the Minnesota Tool Library, and the whole point is to swap the kitchen knife for power tools. Instead of picking away at a pumpkin with a small blade, you'll be using the library's drills and other power tools to carve your designs. Carving stations are manned by MTL volunteers, so you've got a hand on deck while you work.
The Minnesota Tool Library is a volunteer-driven nonprofit cooperative that shares tools, trade skills, and workshop space to empower people, reduce waste, and improve communities. This is one of the ways they get those tools into people's hands. The session is family-friendly, so it's as much for kids as it is for adults. You can bring your own pumpkin or buy one on-site, and the proceeds from the pumpkins go toward supporting the library's operations. Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative rounds it out with witch's brews to enjoy while you carve.
