Michael Yo

Michael Yo is playing The Parkway Theater on Saturday, June 19, 2027. He's a two-time Emmy-nominated stand-up comedian and actor, Houston-raised with Black and Korean roots, and he builds his sets around that multicultural background and his family life, turning them into warm, punchy storytelling.

If you're coming to him for the first time, there's a good bit of work to catch up on. He's released three stand-up specials: Blasian in 2018, I Never Thought in 2022, and Snack Daddy, which came out on YouTube in 2025. Early in his career he was mentored by Chelsea Handler and Jo Koy, and he's kept a steady presence on stage with a twice-weekly residency at Jimmy Kimmel's Comedy Club at THE LINQ in Las Vegas. He also appeared as a featured comedian in Cirque du Soleil's Mad Apple.

Beyond the stand-up, he's worked across a few different formats. He made it to the Quarter-Finals on Season 15 of America's Got Talent, hosts the family-friendly game show Scrambled Up and A&E's 1,000 Ways to Dine, and is a regular on The Joe Rogan Experience. He also hosts his own podcast, The Yo Show, and recurs as Philip on the Apple TV+ series Amber Brown.

The show is at The Parkway Theater, 4814 Chicago Avenue South, in Minneapolis. Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM. Tickets are $49 for Premium Seating ($60 with taxes and fees), $39 for Preferred Reserved Seating ($48.46 with taxes and fees), $34 for Advance General Admission ($39 with taxes and fees), and $29 for General Admission at the door ($36.92 with taxes and fees).
