Filmmaker John Waters returns to Minneapolis with his Halloween weekend comedy show 'Let's Take Over The World!', with DJ Jake Rudh.
John Waters returns to The Parkway Theater on Friday, October 30, with his new show Let's Take Over The World! It falls on Halloween weekend, and the show is billed as a Halloween weekend tradition. Waters is a legendary filmmaker, writer, actor, and artist, known as "the Pope of Trash," and the night is built around his cult following. He delivers a rapid-fire comedy "vermin-sermon" that leans on that reputation.
Opening the night is Jake Rudh, a Minneapolis club and radio DJ and host of Transmission who's worked in music for over 30 years at Capitol Records, NPR, REV 105, Radio K, and The Current. He was voted "best club DJ" in the Twin Cities by City Pages readers for ten straight years.
There's a VIP option for the night: VIP tickets include premium seating and admission to an exclusive post-performance "Group Therapy Session" and Q&A with Waters. The show is all ages and is sold out.
