Beginner-friendly festive wreath-making class with Nice Flowers, using fresh and dried seasonal ingredients, with all materials and a festive drink provided.
Nice Flowers are running a festive wreath workshop at the Great Exhibition on Wednesday 9 December, from 7pm to 9.30pm. It's part of a wider festive wreath collection they've put together for the season, and the whole session is led by Laura and Susie, the two behind the Peckham Rye-based floral studio.
The idea is straightforward: you make your own festive wreath from a mix of fresh and dried seasonal ingredients. Laura and Susie walk everyone through sustainable techniques as you go, and they keep the environmental side of things in mind throughout — everything they provide is either reusable or compostable, so there's not much going to waste. It's a class pitched at all comers, from complete beginners who've never touched a stem to seasoned crafters who just want a new project to get stuck into.
They describe the evening as much a wellbeing activity as a craft, a bit of an escape from the everyday hustle and a social occasion that works for birthdays, hen parties or team-building. It's as much about the company as the wreath, so it's a good one to bring a friend along to. All the kit and materials are provided, and a festive drink is included in the session, so you don't need to turn up with anything other than yourself.
