Free weekly wellbeing walk led by volunteer walk leaders around Alexandra Park, held on Mondays at the bottom gates.
Haringey Wellbeing Walks are running a circular walk around Alexandra Park on Monday 26 October, one of many free group walks they hold across the borough's parks and green spaces. These are led by trained walk leader volunteers and are open to all residents, so it's as much about the company as it is about the exercise. The walk itself takes 30 to 45 minutes, a circular route that brings you back to where you started.
Alexandra Park is a proper North London landmark. The park opened in 1863, with the Palace following in 1873, and together they draw more than a million visitors every year. It's a big site, with panoramic views over London, an ice rink, a boating lake, and 196 acres of parkland. There's also a weekly farmers market every Sunday. Inside the Palace, you'll find the original BBC broadcasting studios and a historic Victorian theatre, both of which the public can explore during Open House each September. Its largest room can hold 11,000 people.
This particular walk is part of a longer run: it continues on Mondays throughout November and December, and into early January. The dates are 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 November; 7, 14, 21 and 28 December; and 4 January 2027. Walks don't take place on bank holidays. Each one runs from 11.00am to 11.45am, so it's a mid-morning thing that doesn't take up your whole day.

Meeting is at the bottom gates of Alexandra Park, N8 7HP, by Safe store. The walks are free, and since they're open to all residents, you're welcome to join in whether you're a regular walker or just fancy getting out for a bit. If you miss the 26 October date, there are plenty more to follow.
