A one-hour interactive workshop led by Globe practitioners to bring Shakespeare's comedy Twelfth Night to life for children aged 5-8 and their grown-ups.
Shakespeare's Globe is running a Twelfth Night family workshop for children aged 5-8 and their grown-ups, with two sessions left: Thursday 29 October at 2.00pm and Saturday 31 October at 11.30am. The other dates in the run are already sold out, so these are the last two chances to get in.
The workshop brings Twelfth Night to life through a range of interactive activities and games that draw out the play's language, characters and themes. It's described as the Bard's own rom-com, and the hour-long session is led by the Globe's own practitioners—actors, teachers and directors—so it's less about sitting and listening and more about getting stuck in. It forms part of the Globe's Family Events programme, and while it's aimed at 5- to 8-year-olds, under-3s don't need a ticket and all under-18s have to be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.
One thing to keep in mind is the location: the workshop is held on-site at the Globe's Bankside home, but in one of the rehearsal rooms, not inside the Globe Theatre itself. Your ticket does, however, include entry to the Globe's exhibition, which looks at the history and magic behind the theatre. If you want to see the stage itself, a Globe Theatre Guided Tour is available separately.

Tickets are ÂŁ13.00 each, plus a ÂŁ3 transaction fee per order. With the Thursday afternoon and Saturday morning slots being the only ones left, it's worth booking sooner rather than later if you're planning to take the kids along.
