TSS are taking over Eastway Baths on Sunday 18 October for An Afternoon of Expression, a social swimming session that doubles as a creative gathering. It's held in The Sunroom, inside the baths at 80 Eastway, London E9 5JH, and runs from 13:00 to 15:00.
The afternoon is built around women's voices, creativity and self-expression, with the invitation to 'come as you are and bring your voice'. It marks the launch of Series 2 of The Shrew Series and spotlights submissions from the Roaring Shrew Collection. Across the two hours, there'll be writing sessions, a creative corner and a mini podcast recording, all in a space the organisers describe as welcoming, where you can experiment, connect and be heard.
And it's a swimming session, so you'll be doing all that with the pool right there. The organisers describe Eastway Baths as one of the best sauna spaces in London, so if you're not in the writing or recording side of things, the sauna is a good place to land. The whole thing is framed as a social one, as much about the people and the swimming as the creative work.
