Beginner-friendly community yoga session for the N22 area, aimed at stretching and moving for strength and mental health.
The Sandbunker Community Yoga Social kicks off at The Sandbunker on Saturday 24 October, and it's a proper local series rather than a one-off. It's aimed at the N22 community, with the whole thing built around getting people stretching and moving for strength and mental health. If you're in the Wood Green area, it's a good excuse to get out of the house and move a bit.
The sessions are run by Coach Ren, and they're beginner-friendly, so you don't need to have ever stepped on a mat to join in. They're open to anyone over 14, which means it's as much for teenagers as it is for adults. The focus is on stretching and strength, with that mental health side of things kept front and centre.
It's a regular thing that runs across autumn and winter, so you can drop in when it suits you. There are two slots a week: Wednesdays from 8pm to 9pm and Saturdays from 12 noon to 1pm. The dates are 24 and 31 October, then 7, 14, 21 and 28 November, and finally 5, 12 and 19 December. That's ten sessions in total, so there's plenty of room to build a habit if you fancy it.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in London and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Payment is pay-as-you-wish, with a few suggestions to keep it simple: £4 for one session or £7 for two, and larger donations are welcome if you're in a position to give more. You'll find it at The Sandbunker, on the Sandlings Estate off Glynne Road in Wood Green, London N22 6XS.
