Competitive baking challenge in which teams of two have 90 minutes to bake and decorate, with a winning pair crowned at the end.
The Big London Bake is back at The Castle Tooting on Saturday 24 October, and it's an all-year-round baking class that asks for no experience. The format is simple: you team up in pairs — or threes if your party is an odd number — and get 90 minutes to bake and decorate. A head baker runs the show, and there's a new theme every month, so the challenge changes depending on when you book. At the end, a winning pair is crowned.
Twelve baking stations line the marquee, and the organisers provide everything you need on the day: the ingredients, the recipe, and the aprons. You also get a take-home bake box to carry your creation away, and they even do the washing up for you. If you'd rather host your own competition at home, there's a Bake At Home digital e-book available to get you started. The experience runs across London, and also in Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool.
